AI & Machine Learning: Friend or Foe in the battle for creativity's soul

At this years Cannes Lions industry leaders from around the world gathered to hear from Dan Cullen-Shute, CEO & Founder of Creature London; Tia McPhee, Global Brand and Partnerships Director at the Financial Times.Ricky Ray Butler, CEO at BENlabs and Aisling Conlon, International Trade Director at the Advertising Association, as they looked at how developments in AI and machine learning have reignited the debate about the role of technology for brands, as the tech opens up whole new ways for brands to talk to real people, and for real people to interact with them.

As AI continues to shape the advertising industry, the panellists highlighted the transformative opportunities it presents. The key lies in striking the right balance between human creativity and AI-driven capabilities. While acknowledging the need for regulation and responsible practices, they remained optimistic that as a society, we can navigate the challenges and work towards harnessing the full potential of AI.
